Andres Ramirez
Founder &
Executive Director
Andres Ramirez is the son of immigrant parents. As the children of a newcomer, Andres, and his sister understood first-hand the barriers that navigating safe access to housing.
From an early age, it was instilled in their family values that their mother came to Canada to give them a better life opportunity. As an OREA graduate, Seneca College Alumni (Pre-Service Firefighter), & community leader, Andres has always been committed to giving back and serving his community.
Outside of housing, Andres is a well-respected leader in the Latin community. As a role model to the youth, Andres supports charity work with the United Way, music festivals, and local Latin events/ fundraising initiatives. Fully invested in educating the next generation, Andres is committed to playing a positive and impactful role in shaping the next generation of leaders.

Muriel
Lopez SilvA
Lead consultant
Muriel Lopez Silva (ella/she/her) was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, however, she spent most of her childhood growing up in the JaneFinch (and surrounding) community. Her parents migrated from Los Angeles, California and are originally from Nicanahuac, known today as Nicaragua.
Although she is of mixed ancestry (Indigenous, European, African and East Asian) she identifies as a multi-ethnic Latina and detribalized Indígena (Indigenous woman).
Muriel is currently the Lead Cultural Consultant at LAHM and has been brought on to offer support and guidance in an effort to build trusting, reciprocal and long-term relationships with BIPOC and equity-deserving communities that have ancestral connections to what is referred today most commonly as Latin America.
In addition to being involved in various projects/initiatives related to supporting and taking place in Latin America and the diaspora, she is a member of various committees and networks, has received accolades and awards in recognition being part of implementing innovative initiatives within the City of Toronto and currently holds a role for the Province of Ontario in enhancing the cancer care journey with and for First Nations, Inuit, Métis and urban Indigenous peoples.

Maria Alejandra Guardado, a Canadian-born Latina with El Salvadoran and Venezuelan heritage, is an award-winning professional by Notable Life Canada, a changemaker, and advocate.
Maria has worked in various industries, including immigration, finance, IT, and marketing, and has worked at the City of Toronto and now serves within the Ontario Public Service. Dedicated to amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, Maria has engaged in in multiple communities and in advocacy across Toronto, Canada, and abroad.
She is committed to highlighting the contributions of Latin Americans in Canada and trailblazing for the future of Latino changemakers to continue to challenge the status quo and creating innovative, equitable solutions for lasting change.
