About Us
Latin American Heritage Month (LAHM) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to uplifting, promoting and maintaining the Latin American culture alive and thriving in the GTA.
Our mission goal is to celebrate the diverse and rich history of Latin American heritage by and to providing educational and cultural events that showcase the contributions of Latin American communities in the GTA. Our team is made up of passionate individuals who are committed to preserving and sharing Latin American traditions, as well as promoting cultural diversity and inclusion of the various ethnicities, cultures and traditions that exist in what today is known as Latin America.
We are currently working towards offering a variety of programs and events throughout the year, including cultural festivals, art exhibits, musical concerts, and educational workshops. Our events are open to everyone, regardless of background or ethnicity, and we welcome all who are interested in learning more about Latin American heritage.

Recognizing the invaluable contributions of the Latin American community to Canada's social, economic, and political landscape, the Parliament of Canada enacted the
Latin American Heritage Month Act
(S.C. 2018, c. 19) on June 21, 2018.
This legislation officially designates the month of October as:
"Latin American Heritage Month"
Nationwide, serving as a meaningful platform to commemorate, celebrate, and educate the public about the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Latin American communities across Canada and around the world.
